A taste of JAPAN!

^^ Using our Tokyo Disneyland chopsticks! We’re freaks, I know. 😉 ^^

Don’t you love having things to look forward to? I feel like I’m always counting down the days for the next fun thing we have in our schedule, like our next vacation! Our next big trip is to one of our all time favorite places, JAPAN! A lot of people think that we are crazy for loving it so much, but we just do. Everything from the culture and food, to the warm musical toilets (it’s a thing, guys!). Plus they have one of the best Disneyland parks in the world, and you better believe that we are taking our kids. Lucy is already practicing how to say “Konichiwa”, so that she can say it to Mickey Mouse!

So with all of this excitement around our house, we thought we’d bring a little taste of Japan to our home, with Blue Apron! Blue Apron is a meal delivery service that allows you to create chef-designed recipes at home. The ingredients for this Udon Noodle recipe were delivered to our doorstep in a refrigerated box, and they were surprisingly so fresh! It was awesome not having to go out to the grocery store. 😉 Udon Noodles are our JAM, so it was cool to learn how to prepare a legit Udon dish in our own home.  It has definitely gotten me out of my cooking rut, and I never thought it would be so easy!? They send you the exact portions of what you need, and each recipe only takes about 40 minutes to prepare. I’m looking forward to learning how to prep more dishes, and to eat my bodyweight in udon noodles in Japan SO SOON!
