Did you know that Danes are considered some of the happiest people in the world? Even through their long dark winters. They celebrate the simple pleasures in life… Like comfort, togetherness, and well-being. Otherwise known as Hygge. This winter we are trying this new tradition, in pursuit of making winter more enjoyable!
We’ve been lighting candles around our home, snuggling in big blankets, and eating breakfast together. We’ve also been taking every opportunity to get outside! We tried cross country skiing for the first time and it was hilarious. We snuck onto the golf course and laughed our heads off because we were falling ALL OVER THE PLACE! We are snowboarders, so this was a whole new rodeo. Brad almost broke his ankles falling “ballerina style”, and my arms felt like they got ripped out of their sockets when my poles got stuck in ice, and my body continued to zip down the hill! Hahaha! All I have to say is PROPS to all of you skiers out there!
CHEERS TO HYGGE!
