Cabin Vibes

It was so nice to get away to the cabin and unplug for a few days. There is no phone reception up there, so everyone was forced to have quality time the entire trip hahah 😉 It really did feel good to be away from the world though. My sister Cami is in town, so it was a blast to have all of my siblings and the tiny cousins together! Lucy was in heaven, with all of the attention. I don’t know what it is, but when we get together we go into “silly mode” and everything is funny. We stayed up late playing Boggle, laughing our heads off (Like, who laughs historically playing that game? What the!?) One morning I created my own jumping-jack routine alongside my sisters legit doing TRX Hahah I looked like the biggest dweeb in my jeans while they were looking all sporty! Brad made a workout video that I’m too embarrassed to share… We also bought the “Balloon Bonanza” from online and it was such a FAIL! The water balloons don’t tie themselves, guys. It’s a tiny elastic that ties the top of the balloon and it slowly lets the water out.. Don’t waste your money like we did! We hiked in the rain, played Spikeball, ate junk food, star gazed, rode in the back of the car redneck style, and took lots of pictures… It was a great weekend.

Those are the best times…unplugged away from everything with family laughing all day! I also find that my kids are happiest then too. Hardly any tears and next to no fits. It's wonderful. Also, Spikeball is my favorite activity these days! Sounds like a wonderful break!
