Time is precious

“The trick is to enjoy life. Don’t wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead.”
-Marjorie Hinckley

A few years ago when my Grandpa passed away, my Grandma moved in with us. It was such a special time, because my siblings were married and I was the only child living in the house. I watched her heart ache for her sweetheart every single day. Although they didn’t have much, they had it all. Their marriage was solid gold. Brad was serving his mission at the time, and my Grandma just adored him. We talked a lot about Brad and Grandpa, it was this strange thing that we could relate with.. Being distant from our sweethearts. She taught me a lot of life lessons, but I will always remember her holding my hands, looking me in the eyes and saying “Enjoy him while he’s young.”

This is so sweet. It made me a little teary eyed. We just got married in February, but I already feel like time is seriously flying. I love being married, and I've made it a goal of mine to really live it and savor it-especially now that we are young and have the ability to do so much. What a great reminder of that from your grandmother 🙂
