Balestrand, Norway

^^ As a child, my Mormor (grandma) was sent to this house in the countryside during World War II for safety. She lived with a family that were complete strangers… What a blessing that they were so good to her! I think it speaks mountains of the woman my great grandmother was, to make such a loving sacrifice for the safety of her child.. They were reunited after the war officially ended. ^^
^^ Strawberries in Norway are my FAVORITE. Eating these in honor of little Lucy! (They are her favorite food.) ^^

Black Hat: Forever 21 || Pink Top: Piper & Scoot || Denim: Top Shop || Watch: Arvo || Boots: Nordstrom ||It was so great to unplug and just get away from it all, here in Balestrand. It made me realize how insignificant some things back at home are… Things that I worry about on a daily basis. I gained a new fresh perspective! Especially wandering the streets reflecting on my grandma, and the strong girl she had to be when she was sent here during the war. There were no restaurants in this town so we cooked up a frozen pizza, and ate it out on the dock. It was so refreshing.
